Quick Navigation
I have been feeling very fussy, and I haven't been able to find my rhythm ever since the 1st of November, since the Scorpio new moon. I have been falling into old patterns of thinking and feeling, and I haven't been feeling like my usual self.
I recently posted the Clairvoyant Energy Update for the 3-17th and one of the two cards that came up in the Oracle deck Insights section was the "Temptation" Card, which is also known as the "Devil" card in the classical tarot deck.
I really resonated with this card coming up now because of the pull that I feel from old patterns of thinking, feeling and acting that have been arising. Because of this, I decided to do a more in-depth reading on this card's meaning, why it is coming up now collectively and how to handle whatever may be coming up for you. Furthermore, I also did a reading and will reveal three collective pictures (beliefs) in your energy field that may be important to become aware of right now.
The Pull of The Temptation (Devil) Card
No matter how advanced we may be on our spiritual journey, a mention of the "Devil" is bound to raise a tiny bit of fear somewhere in our psyche, even if it's somewhere far, far away.
I like that in the Psychic Tarot Deck, the Devil card is renamed the Temptation card. This takes attention away from the fear we feel when we hear the word "devil" that has been deeply programmed in us since we were young to what the card actually means.
As I described in the Energy Update, the card has a sticky quality or magnetic-like pull that draws you in. In the same way, we are drawn to patterns of thinking, patterns of feeling, and patterns of behaviour that don't serve us and our evolution.
Why Did The Card Show Up Now?
The card showed up now because we are collectively undergoing an ascension period. We are being called to refine our consciousness and evolve.
I had very rich symbolism appear while looking into this card clairvoyantly. I saw an image related to the Snow White story, which I haven't thought about since I was little. I saw the moment when the Queen, Snow White's mother, was sewing by the window and pricked her finger. I saw three drops of blood fall onto the white snow. I then immediately saw the apple that Snow White had bit, which made her fall into what was supposed to be an eternal slumber.
In the original Story, the Queen pricked her finger, and blood dripped on the snow, which inspired her to wish to have a daughter with "skin white as snow, lips red as blood and hair black as ebony (the window frame)." And then, of course, came Snow White, which was a manifestation of her wish.
From the image I saw, the red blood symbolises life force, passion, aliveness and desire. This shows that you will be more in touch with your life force, purpose and the things that authentically make you feel alive. In my teaching, white represents a state of unconsciousness or unawareness, so the red blood dripping on the snow is a moment of awakening and coming into deeper contact with your life force.
With this deeper awakening of your life force and more energy entering your energy field. Your shadow may also become more apparent.
Furthermore, the apple represents temptation and your shadow.
Where the red blood signifies an awakening of passion, the apple introduces the question of whether that passion will remain true to your higher purpose or fall prey to surface allurements that offer instant gratification but ultimately lead to entrapment. Be careful.
This phase makes me think of the alchemical processes of dissolution. Dissolution is associated with letting go of limiting beliefs, patterns and ego attachments that hinder growth.
A lack of clarity is not unusual during dissolution and feeling like you are falling back into old patterns.
This isn’t a setback; rather, it’s an opportunity. The key is to not identify with what comes up. Picture this phase as watching a river, a dark river carrying everything that’s ready to be released. Allow it to flow through you without attachment or judgment.
This period of release and transformation is expected to last about two and a half weeks from the start of November, and it’s here to support your growth.
The best way to navigate this time is to embrace it fully. Embrace the mess, the chaos, and even the discomfort. Lean into it with curiosity and courage. Find ways to enjoy the journey. Yes, you can even have fun with it! See this as an opportunity to learn about your strength, resilience, and more about your make up.
What Will This Card Reveal To Us?
It will bring to light the "skeletons in your closet," so to speak. Those hidden aspects that you need to become aware of to evolve on your journey. It may not always be comfortable but think of it as a necessary step to reach the good stuff. Facing these truths is essential to move forward with clarity and purpose.
What Are Three Collective Pictures That Many People Have and Will Confront During This Time?
Picture 1 - The Stuck Dragonfly
I see purple, orange and magenta, forming the shape of a dragonfly. I see the dragonfly caught in something gooey that is red. This image reflects a sense of being stuck. It is connected to your willpower. It feels as though there is something you deeply want, but you are held back, unable to break free. This experience of being "stuck" brings forth aspects of your shadow, especially the tendency to act a bit like a spoiled child, wanting things immediately and struggling to consider the bigger picture or the broader impact of your actions.
This refers to the lower ego, that part of us that insists, “I want it my way,” without regard for the greater whole. Like a dragonfly tangled in its own web of ambition, your sense of worthiness may feel challenged. However, this is not true, lasting worthiness but rather a fleeting, surface-level sense of worthiness that is easily shaken. For more on this topic, refer to the previous energy update.
The dragonfly symbolizes independence, it moves to the beat of its own drum. But here, it feels constrained by ambitions rooted in the lower self, which serve only itself rather than a higher purpose. When our desires are solely ego-driven, they limit our ability to soar to greater heights. It's when we serve others in a meaningful way that we tap into true abundance that comes from a connected place.
So, how can you move forward? Start by recognizing that you are not alone. Release the need to control everything like a willful child. You are surrounded by immense support and care from the universal intelligence that moves everything, working to keep you alive, safe, nourished, and happy. The support around you is vast; the challenge is that your perspective is currently narrow, focused only on what feels “stuck.” Try widening your view to see the full picture.
In truth, you are not stuck at all. This moment invites you to grow and to see beyond the immediate desires of the ego. Trust in the support around you, let go of the need to control and allow yourself to adopt a more expansive, interconnected perspective.
Picture 2- The Illusory Snake
I see a snake with its mouth wide open, hissing. At first glance, it appears threatening, but then something changes. The snake deflates. Making me aware that this snake isn't real. The apparent danger or threat is illusory. Even more interesting is that when it deflates, the snake starts to look cartoon-like. Giving it a somewhat amusing or trickster feeling to the image. As if someone is saying "haha, I tricked you".
Why a snake? The snake symbolises deep-rooted, primal fears that trigger the survival instinct, activating first-chakra fears connected to security and survival.
A big reason why these first chakra fear pictures are activating now is partially so that you can remember who you truly are. First, chakra fears have the most profound pull on our consciousness as they threaten our survival. It encourages us to let go of the things that we identify with most deeply and remember who we are at our core. This is not so that we live in a fantasy land. Quite the opposite. This is so that we can more deeply engage with the present moment as free individuals. It makes me think of this quote by Ram Dass: "Our journey is about being deeply involved in life and yet less attached to it."
Interestingly, there’s a warmth in this vision, a gentle sense of “I’m here to protect you.” This fear is surfacing now to help you become familiar with it so that it no longer has power over you in the future. It’s as if this picture is asking you to acknowledge and even embrace it. An integration is necessary, and self-love becomes critical here. By doing so, this fear will lose its ability to return and disrupt you later. It becomes a part of your learning journey, a step in the growth of your consciousness, something that shapes and strengthens you, even carrying over into future lives as part of the structure of your consciousness.
In the end, this snake image almost becomes playful, like a clown or a prankster. It's as if it is saying, “Boo!” like an older brother would. Don't get scared. The fear is a passing illusion, a chance to look, laugh, and let go.
A quick note that “All the monsters confronted during dissolution are illusions, products of our own mental landscape.” (Hauck, The Emerald Tablet: Alchemy for Personal Transformation, p. 189)
Picture 3- The Shy Red Rose
In this picture, I see a red rose, a classic deep red rose, sticking out from a shrub of other roses. However, there is an inner power trying to pull back this rose from growing out.
So, what does this red rose mean?
The rose represents knowing and awareness. But there is a sense of resistance here, a desire to hold back from fully knowing or becoming conscious. Part of you would rather not face the responsibilities that come with growth and self-awareness. It is as if you want to keep this rose from blooming, thinking, “Come back, come back.” Yet, just as you cannot stop a flower from growing, this inner growth is a natural process. The rose wants to bloom, to reach upward, even if part of you hesitates to let it fully blossom.
This image also brings to mind family or tribe. The rose does not stand alone; it is part of a larger group of shrubs surrounded by other roses. It is as if this particular rose, the one that is growing bigger than the rest, symbolizes your potential to expand beyond the consciousness of your tribe. Yet there is a fear of outgrowing your roots, of rising beyond the comfort zone of your family or community. This picture speaks to a desire to remain at their level, to not "outshine" or "outgrow" them. It is a subconscious hesitation, a feeling of “I should not grow too much; I should not become more.”
Becoming aware of this fear is the first step. There is a guardian presence in this vision, appearing as a white dove or pigeon sitting on a branch nearby. This guide feels like Archangel Gabriel, who is here to help you with this growth process. These are root chakra pictures showing deeply held beliefs about safety and belonging. Working with this guide, you can find the strength to follow your purpose and embrace your path, even if it means growing beyond the boundaries of your tribe. Allow Archangel Gabriel to support you in seeing this picture clearly and moving past it successfully.
Final Insight
With this card coming up now and as you encounter your shadow, remember who you truly are. This pull of "temptation" will only make the light of your consciousness shine brighter. I know it is not easy in the face of deeply rooted fears or patterns, but you are a badass. You've got this!
What has worked really well for me these past few days has been to tap into self-love. This has made me less judgemental towards my experience, more fluid to allow any emotions to pass, and also a lot less receptive to being scared by "illusory snakes." If the Illusory Snake goes "boo!" I laugh. Embrace this period as an invitation to connect more deeply with your purpose and inner contentment as you refine your consciousness and step forward with a clearer, gentler confidence.
